So, riding up the elevator at work yesterday morning with the Polish guy from the lab right next to mine, the following conversation ensues:
Him: You lost your weight.
Me: Yep.
Him: How?
Me: I've been running a lot lately.
Him: Is that all?
Me: Yeah, pretty much.
Him: And having a lot of sex?
Me: (while getting off elevator and making a break for the lab) Unfortunately, no. Just running.
Him: Oh that's too bad..... (me bee-lining it into my lab)
It just dawned on me that I have many, many stories such as the one above between said Polish guy and I that I have not shared with you all that I really need to. Such as the other day when he asked me if I was a cocaine dealer. (Most of the time my reaction is: WHAT????) Apparently I seem the type. Still trying to discern what that "type" is. Maybe is different in Poland than here? If I ever figure it out, I'll let you know. And I'll make sure to post the next time I have an amazing encounter with the Polish guy.

Monday, ugh
So this weekend was absolutely AMAZING. I got to see 2 friends I don't see often, Karen Clegg and Diana Coyle. Ate at some yummy Memphis favorites and hung out with lots and lots of Chi Omegas. My friend Amanda got married!!! (the reason for so many Chi Os in Memphis). The wedding was by far the most gorgeous and fun wedding I have ever been too. Seriously, I didn't get home until 4 am. Really, I will be cherishing this weekend for a long time. However, I am not so much cherishing this morning. In fact, this is pretty much how I felt this morning.

Another lessoned learned
So like I said in my previous post, Friday was not such a good day for me. Which is why I was so looking forward to Saturday. I had many places to be and people to see Saturday, all fun and fabulous. The day was great. My jewelry show was awesome. Made lots of money** (see later) and got to hang out with some awesome women. Watched some interesting football, Tennessee vs. LSU for one! Ridiculous! Got to see precious little Gardner. My favorite little 4 month old. Got to meet new people and spend some fun time with a few good friends enjoying the fall night. Up until this point, very fun and very enjoyable. And here is where my lesson learned begins.
There is a girl who works in my lab who just graduated from college. She is super cute and fun and I think we have become friends since she's been in the lab. Well most of our Monday morning talking consists of what I did on my weekend nights versus what she did on her weekend nights. Mine are usually spent at home watching TV or a movie with the occasional dinner with friends. Hers most often are going out. Therefore, I was invited to abandon my "lame" weekend routine and join her and her newly 21/just out of college friends on a night out. Long story short, my Saturday definitely did not end as well as it began. And I learned 2 very valuable lessons:

1. I am no longer in my early 20's (how did I do it when I was?).
2. I am totally ok with my lame weekends (because it does not take my body 48 hours to recover from them).
**Now for my exciting news and in continuing with my shopaholic theme: I got an iPhone!! I've been needing a new phone for a while anyway, and since I made a nice little profit at my show this weekend, I decided to splurge and go for it. I have had it for less than 4 hours and I am already completely in love! Love love love!!

Shopaholic
Apparently I'm a big shopper these days. Not only did I buy my skinny jeans yesterday but I also bought 2 dresses and a sweater. And today, well lets just say I had a terrible day and broke down in lab resulting in my being sent home about 3. So when my roommate got home about 5:30 we decided to go shopping again, to help me feel better. This time I bought another dress. I was actually looking for one for my friends wedding next weekend. Its cute! And it will be really fun for when the weather gets colder to wear with tights too! I'll make sure to take pics. Then I also got two really cute tunic type shirts. Anyway. I've been kind of strapped for cash lately so I guess I was excited to have some money to spend on my self. Now to get to wear them all!! Good thing I have like 3 parties to go to tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be feeling a little better by then too.
