My Thankful List Part 3
Today I am thankful
1. For the fact that I can show up for work at 10:30 knowing I'm leaving at 2:30! Yay short day!!
2. For the 4 hours I'll be at work I only have about an hour of actual work to do.
3. For friends who agree to feed my animals last minute (Thanks Lindsey!! I am truly so thankful for you and Josh and little Gardner!)
4. For my roommate who helps me figure out awkward boy situations. No Dawn I didn't see it coming, but thanks for laughing at my expense.
5. That in a few (hopefully short) hours I will be home with my amazing family getting lots of hugs from the cutest and best little sister ever!!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Enjoy your holiday!!

My Thankful List Part 2
Today I am very thankful:
1. That am I not in the Pacific Northwest dealing with snow and freezing weather. I mean I love the snow, but not when it shuts everything down.
2. That all my family and friends who are out there are safe and sound.
3. That there is only one day left in this week and its not even a full day!! Watch out turkey, I'm coming for you!

My Thankful List Part 1
In honor of Thanksgiving week, I am posting about things that I am thankful for today.
1. Warm weather when some machine decides to set the fire alarm off in the building. Standing outside on 70 degree breezy day is a nice little mid-morning break on a Monday.
2. Coffee. I know I post about coffee all the time, but seriously, its my drug. And lately I have been feeling pretty tired and my yummy coffee + delicious holiday creamers definitely help get my through the day.
3. An understanding boss. After assuring her that I would be in town over Thanksgiving to check in on the lab, I told her this weekend I was changing plans and going home. And she was ok with that. Love her.
4. Texting. Such a silly little past time, but so entertaining. Funny how that little vibrate or jingle can put a smile on your face.
5. Mixing groups of friends. My roommate and I had some of our friends over this Saturday for dinner and a lot of the girls didn't know each other. Instead of being awkward, it was a fabulous time. Lots of delicious food and tons of laughter. Its now going to be a monthly thing.
6. TV shows on DVD. I love skipping commercials and going straight from one episode to the next!
7. A short week!!! I think that's pretty self-explanatory.
8. Blogging. Another nice little mid-morning break on my Monday.
Hope all of you are having a good Monday!

A little laugh for your Friday
Ok, so this actual came as an email to me, but I have this problem with forwarding emails, and I have been terrible about blogging lately so I'm killing two birds with one stone and using the email as my blog.
CALMNESS IN OUR LIVES
We could all use a little more calmness in our lives. By following simple advice heard on the Dr. Phil show, you too can find inner peace. Dr Phil proclaimed, "The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you have started and have never finished."
So, I looked around my house to see all the things I started and hadn't finished, and before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a bottle of White Zinfandel, a bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream, a package of Oreos, the remainder of my old Prozac prescription, the rest of the cheesecake, some Doritos, and a box of chocolates.

You have no idea how good I feel right now.
Hehehehe! I began reading this email taking it super serious thinking, yeah right that's never going to happen. Totally laughed out loud at the end! Happy Friday everyone!
